Since Day 1 of joining the Oakland Express organization, our son has experienced coaches who have become strong mentors, and teammates who have become great friends. The thing that sets this organization apart from others is simple: The focus on baseball is definitely there, but the coaches are equally concerned about building quality young men off the field.

Over the past three years, it’s been a privilege to be part of the Oakland Express family. We’ve witnessed firsthand how the coaches, through their love of baseball, have transformed our boys into solid, young men of wholesome, Christ-like character. Each coach strives to live the messages He instills into the boys. Our own boys have been challenged to be who they were created to be, and have become better athletes and competitors as a result. Each player receives personal affirmation and correction as needed, and we are forever grateful for the opportunity to play for such a dynamic organization.

We love the straight-forward, no-nonsense, approach of OE baseball. We put our trust in these coaches because they have demonstrated that they can be trusted. They teach the boys more than just the “win at all costs” attitude. They teach them to be confident, responsible young men, who also happen to play baseball. Don’t get me wrong – OE coaches are there to win. However, it’s not all about that.  We have thoroughly enjoyed this team and its coaches, and that’s why we’ve been here for six years.
